1983 - 1991 - building and development of plasma test facility rated at 40.0 MW, based on the plasma gun rated at 14.0 MW that was our development with unique characteristics.
1990-1991: supervision of the project development at the Plasma Center of the USSR, rated at 40.0 MW by the order of S.V.Kolpakov, the Metallurgy Minister of the USSR. Responsible Participants: IMET, NIIChM, NPO ‘Tulachermet’, NSTU Department of Thermal Engineering (thermal plasma gasification reactor, meltdown drip furnace reactor, plasma furnace, plasma test facility).
The development of plasma vacuum systems for wear-resistant coating, our own batch production in 1990-2001.
Design development for the silicomanganese production shop rated at 45,000 tons per year. The first stage: 7,500 tons per year. Design, detailed design. Gosekspertiza. 2008-2009.
NPP “EPOS” was founded in April 1992 on the territory of the Scientific Administration of Semipalatinsk testing ground as a subdivision with 40 employees in the form of a scientific and research subdivision and a shop for validation through elaboration of plasma technologies and production of items with wear-resistant coatings. Next stage was participation in project development and launching of its own subdivisions, sites and shops in other cities (including this enterprise in Novosibirsk), development of unique electro-thermal equipment (see Section Products).
To create new and innovative equipment, devices and aggregates for different branches of engineering industry the problem of industrial large-scale production of amorphous and crystalline ultrafine and nanosized components with targeted properties (such as physical–and-mechanical, physical-and-chemical, thermal, geometric and others) being the primary when forming the structured, modified and functional nanostructured materials providing extreme resource-constitutive operating abilities is imperative to be solved.
PRODUCTION OF FERROALLOYS IN A PLASMA ORE-SMELTING SHAFT FURNACE USING THE EPOS-PROCESS TECHNOLOGY
Production of ferroalloys in the Russian Federation and abroad is carried out in conventional ferroalloy furnaces of open or closed type than are far from the ideal production process and have a common set of problems: high specific energy consumption (many times higher than rated (theoretical) values); high consumption of a reducer (in some cases more than two times higher as compared with the theoretical consumption required for the reduction reaction); immense amount of gases and solid particles supplied from a furnace to gas cleaning system; bulky structure; high materials consumption; high complexity of maintenance and operation; high dependence of electric and thermal conditions, as well as quality of the product on composition and quality of raw materials and reducers; high complexity of mode setting; high complexity of process control, and other problems.

Activity of the enterprise includes all production cycles: from calculations and development of the general circuit of the equipment - before its delivery in operation and the current warranty service.
